A real water paradise!

The Eiland van Maurik is a true water paradise for young and old. There is plenty to do; from swimming and sunbathing to sailing, waterskiing and fishing. It is located in a beautiful natural area near Maurik in the municipality of Buren, also called 'the apple of the eye of the Betuwe'.

Blue Flag

Both the marina and the day beach of Eiland van Maurik  have the Blue Flag.

The Blue Flag is an international environmental award, awarded annually to beaches and marinas that take part in the campaign and have proven to be clean and safe. They must meet various criteria.

Perfect location

The marina is situated on a severed river arm of the Lower Rhine. Due to its central location in the Netherlands, you can choose from a wide range of sailing areas. The extensive recreational area is also ideal for making beautiful day trips.

An island for yourself?

The nice thing about sailing with your boat is that you have all the freedom you need to find peace and quiet! This is also perfectly possible from Maurik's Island Marina. In the recreational lake you will find nice little islands, where you drop your anchor and your children can enjoy themselves on the small beaches all day long.

Or where you can forget the time with a good book... Wonderfully quiet, and all the space you need for yourself!

Pick up your heart!

Eiland van Maurik came into being after the canalisation of the Lower Rhine. It is a so-called 'dead' river arm. Thanks to sand extraction for the nearby brickworks, it grew into a popular, green water recreation area. It has a fine beach, sunbathing lawns and good bathing water. Water sports enthusiasts can indulge themselves here and for longer stays you can make use of the possibilities at our Holiday Park.
